We have been happily married for 11 years. We spent five years trying to have a child only to find out that we are unable to have children on our own. We went to an infertility expert where we found out we couldn’t conceive children naturally. We were blessed to be able to get pregnant on our first go around of IVF. In 2015 we gave birth to our son through IVF. Since then, we have gone through 4 more cycles of IVF including three miscarriages. After a lot of time spent talking and praying, we decided that adoption was the way to go.
We have lots of love to give to another child and not only are we excited about this process, but our 5 year old son is overjoyed about the prospect of having a sibling. He is constantly talking about fun things he is going to do with his sibling and is always asking when we are “going to go pick up” his new baby sister or brother.
We are looking to adopt a newborn or infant up to six-months old. As far as gender we don’t have a preference either way. I know most people say they just want a healthy baby and yes, we would prefer the baby to be healthy, but we would also be happy to adopt a child that has a medically correctable medical condition.
We are hoping for a semi open to open adoption although, we would consider a closed adoption. We are also willing to travel to other state to adopt.
